MBH Bank – New Headquarters

Details

MBH Bank is building a new, sustainable headquarters in Budapest’s 13th district, at the junction of Róbert Károly körút and Váci út. As part of the project, NEOX provided specialist support in developing the future facilities management concept and smart building operating model. The aim was to ensure that the new headquarters would operate in line with real user, facilities management and business needs, rather than being shaped solely by technological systems.

NEOX applied a service design approach to analyse operational requirements and map the expectations of the organisations involved. This informed the definition of the required digital services, facilities management processes, data requirements and principles for proactive, energy-efficient operations. Throughout the project, we placed particular emphasis on ensuring that the building’s technologies would form a unified data and service environment rather than operate as isolated systems.

NEOX contributed to developing the integration concept for the smart building ecosystem, bringing together solutions for facilities management, employee experience, ESG reporting and data platforms. By rationalising the technology landscape and avoiding unnecessary system duplication, we identified significant opportunities for CAPEX savings, while laying the foundations for data-driven operations, energy efficiency optimisation and future service expansion.

The result was an operating model for the future headquarters that supports efficient facilities management, the employee experience, ESG objectives and sustainable building operations over the long term.

Széchenyi István University – Science Park / Campus 2

Details

For Széchenyi István University’s Science Park / Campus 2 project, NEOX helped plan the building complex’s future operations, facilities management and digital services. The aim was to ensure that the development would respond to the real needs of students, lecturers, researchers, tenants, visitors and facilities teams, rather than being driven solely by technology.

Throughout the project, we mapped the anticipated operational processes, identified potential risks and defined the digital services needed to support efficient campus operations over the long term. Particular attention was paid to developing simple, intuitive solutions that would provide a consistent experience across the different user groups.

The operational and facilities management concept developed by NEOX laid the foundations for future digital campus services, data-driven decision support and efficient facilities management, while reducing the risks associated with subsequent developments and integrations.

“The concept laid solid foundations not only for the period up to the building’s handover, but also for long-term strategy and operations.”
(Dr Bálint Filep, Associate Professor and President of Széchenyi István University)

“The greatest value was being able to identify future operational and facilities management challenges as early as the design stage.”
(Klaudia Varga, Managing Director, Uni-Famulus Kft.)

“NEOX helped us focus the design process on the campus’s day-to-day operations and its users’ needs, rather than on technology.”
(Dr Tamás Kolossváry, Head of the Győr Innovation Park, Széchenyi István University)

United Illusions

Details

At United Illusions Film Studios, NEOX implemented a data-driven building intelligence solution that supports more efficient office operations based on actual usage data. NEOX designed and installed the required IoT sensor network to ensure that operational decisions are informed by actual space utilisation and comfort data.

The sensor infrastructure delivered by NEOX provides a more accurate understanding of space utilisation, workplace conditions and usage patterns. The information collected enables the facilities team to respond more effectively to actual demand, while also creating opportunities to optimise energy consumption and operating costs.

NEOX also installed smart lockers and continues to manage their operation. The secure, flexible system supports the shared use of spaces and workstations, reduces the number of permanently assigned but underused lockers, and enables faster troubleshooting and clearer capacity management through centralised monitoring. Together, these solutions improve user comfort and support more efficient, sustainable building operations.

“With NEOX’s support, we were able to see clearly for the first time how our clients and colleagues actually use the spaces. What we gained was not simply more data, but the insight needed to make better decisions.”
(György Matakovics, COO)

“Basing operations on real usage data has opened up new opportunities to improve energy efficiency and optimise facilities management.”
(Teofil Ádám Petrik, Facility Operator)

“The NEOX Infinity Visitor Only solution is currently being implemented to make guest arrivals and access faster, smoother and more professional. The aim is to deliver a higher-quality, more consistent and more personalised customer experience from the very first touchpoint.”
(Viktória Szántó, Deputy CEO)

Details

In the project's concept-development phase, NEOX developed a vendor-independent sustainability and digitalisation technical concept. Our work covered passive design solutions adapted to the desert microclimate, renewable and energy-efficient technologies, intelligent building monitoring, AI-based energy optimisation, predictive maintenance, and a digitally supported, personalised guest experience.

The concept centred not on technology in itself, but on aligning architecture, sustainability, operations and the entire guest journey. The goal was to create a long-term sustainable and digitally supported operating model that at once reduces energy and resource use, improves the predictability of operations, and creates a distinctive, premium guest experience.

NEOX's role extended to developing the technical concept and the related technology and business decision-preparation.
